WHO WE ARE

Our founders

We are a team of two entrepreneurs with extensive operational and management experience from launching, growing & managing software businesses across Europe. We have been good friends and colleagues for over a decade, and both hold MS degrees from Stanford GSB.

Helena Ahlström

Helena has over 10 years experience launching and managing online marketplaces in Europe and Asia, most recently as the CEO of a large online marketplaces group covering Southeast Asia. In addition, she has co-founded a B2B SaaS company.

Helena grew up in Sweden and Germany and has lived and worked in several European countries, Singapore and the US. She holds MS degrees from Stanford GSB and Stockholm School of Economics.

Ivar Schmidt

Prior to founding Snowfall, Ivar co-founded a fintech group and spent four years launching companies in Europe and Asia. He has spent 10 years working for the Norwegian company Schibsted primarily launching and managing online marketplaces across Europe.

Ivar grew up in Sweden and has lived in several European countries and the US. He holds MS degrees from Stanford GSB and Chalmers University of Technology.
